If early season indoor meets are any indication, Louisiana high school sprinters may be in trouble during the 2026 indoor season. Rummel's Micah Green, who comes into the La. HS indoor season as the fastest returner with his season best in 2025 of 6.90, is faster right now than he was at the end of the 2026 season. 
Green ran a 6.87 at The Galleria Games in Birmingham earlier this month. 
Green was one of four underclassmen who ran under 7.0 in the 60m during the 2025 season. Other sprinters to accomplish the feat were University Lab's Erin Moore (6.94), Iota's Jayvon Allison (6.97), and Green's teammate at Rummel--Nasir Ceazer (6.98).
