The Class 3A team battle presents a head-to-head match-up against St. Louis High and E.D. White. Both schools show a reliance on distance, but St. Louis holds the advantage by having a strong sprint and relay squad. The greatest struggle of these two teams is that they must both qualify to the state through the same region, cutting out potential athletes at the championship.

E.D. White shows great strength in their distance and jumps squad. Abbey Marie Ratcliff leads her team in the 1600m and 3200m. Rylee Methvin follows Ratcliff from the 800m has the potential to score a podium spot for some quality points. Representing the jumps, Emeline Rodrigue sets up a double in the long and triple jump where she is ranked No. 6 and No. 2. Rounding up the jumps is Laura DeGravelle who is ranked No. 1 in 3A in the pole vault. She is joined by her teammate Elizabeth Herbert who is ranked No. 3 in 3A. Additionally, E.D. White's other chances to score large points at the state meet are from their 4x400m and 4x800m relays. These two relays are highly ranked but are also in direct competition with St. Louis for the No. 1 spot.

St. Louis has a dominant presence in the sprints distance, throws, relays, and jumps. What is probably most amazing is that St. Louis has someone scoring in almost every event. Halyn Senegal is one of the fastest runners entering into the state meet, but she steps down from the 800m to most likely help hold down the fort in the relays and sprints. Senegal qualifies in the 200m and 400m and boasts the top-ranked times in 3A for each event. Emma Karam fills the void in St. Louis's 800m and is ranked No. 3 for this event, but could score higher. Joining Karam in the distance discipline is Ella Segura who ranks well in both the 1600m and 3200m at No. 2 for both.

Competing in the hurdles is Kenzie Touchet. Touchet qualifies in the 100m hurdles and 300m hurdles and is ranked No. 3 and No. 2 for each event in that order. Tia Reder shows out in the long jump and is ranked No. 3 in 3A. She is also joined by Maci Fontenot who is also ranked No. 3 in 3A but represents the high jump instead. Ali Myers also has the potential to podium in the pole vault as she is tied for the third-best mark in 3A so far.

Holding down the javelin and discus throw is Emma Freeman. She has the opportunity to podium in both events and make a large difference in the team scores. Freeman is joined by Amerie Guillory in the shotput who is set up as the third-best mark in 3A this year. Finishing out St. Louis's wide margin of potential point gain is the relays. St. Louis has the No.1 rank in every relay and has since qualified each squad this season for the state meet.
