Prior to the LHSAA Division I 4x200 final on Sunday in Baton Rouge, Zachary High School was the team to beat with a US No. 12 time.
But maybe that was the exact motivation St. Augustine needed.
The boys program from New Orleans was trailing the entire way until one final surge by the team's anchor netted a miraculous finish.
