GoFundMe page: Send Coach Gio To Oregon!
A GoFundMe page has been setup to help Northwood coach Gio Reumante travel out to Portland, Oregon to watch his two athletes Obsaa Feda and Eldad Mulugeta compete at the Nike Cross Nationals. Both athletes qualified individually this past weekend at the Nike Cross Nationals Southeast Regional in North Carolina under the guidance and coaching of Reumante this season. Mulugeta at 15:15 for 4th place and Feda at 15:20 for 8th place both ran personal bests en route to qualifying for nationals.
Any donation, small or big, will go a long way in making the expensive last minute trip affordable for Coach Reumante and be part of the once in a lifetime experience with his two national bound runners. Coach Reumante helped the Northwood boys finish 2nd in the 4A state meet this season, which was the program's highest finish dating all the way back to 1962. Feda and Mulugeta went 1-2 in the state race individually with two of the faster times ever on the new Hereford course at 15:44.
Reumante is a former alumni of the program himself and recently took over as head coach after being an assistant coach initially several years ago.
