Barbe High and Benton High win McNeese high school cross country meet Saturday

Barbe High and Benton High won the McNeese State Cowboy high school cross country race on Saturday.


    Led by Zach Stone, who finshed third and Dolin Kleckley who placed sixth, Barbe pulled in 32 points to take the boys’ 5K run.


    Jacob Ballew of Comeaux High was the boys individual champion with a 5:50.3 clocking.


    In the girls race Benton was led by Kailtin Flattland who posted a 6:26 time for 5K.  Benton scored 27 points to beat out second place Barbe.


    Barbe’s Sara Van Horn ran 7:04.4 to finish second individually.
