Recently we had a poll to see who you thought was the top girls program in the state. Here is how your votes broke down!
Mount Carmel | 8 | 5.71% |
Dominican | 36 | 25.71% |
St. Joe's | 16 | 11.43% |
Mandeville | 28 | 20% |
Sacred Heart NOLA | 31 | 22.14% |
Mendard | 1 | 0.71% |
Episcopal | 2 | 1.43% |
Lusher | 2 | 1.43% |
Parkway | 2 | 1.43% |
St. Thomas Aquinas | 1 | 0.71% |
Other: | 13 | 9.29% |
There was a surprisingly close race for the top spot between Mandeville, Sacred Heart and Dominican with Dominican (who I interestingly found out does not have a mascot) narrowly taking down the Cardinals (SH) and the Skippers (Mandeville). Dominican closed with over a quarter of the vote. St. Joe's was our lurking fourth place finisher.
One quick note is that we will not have to wait long to see your top 3 teams square off against each other as Dominican, Mandeville, and Sacred Heart all meet for a Tuesday showdown at City Park in New Orleans for the John Curtis Season Opener.
