Top 5 Boys Individuals

1) Devyn Keith SR, John Curtis 5A- Devyn has set himself for a great senior year by finishing as a triple state champion in 3A at the outdoor state meet. Moving to 5A will make winning any state title in any distance much more difficult, but Devyn has shown he is more than capable of competing with the top 5A runners.

2) Eric Coston JR, St. Paul’s 5A- Eric dealt with injuries throughout the year but still finished with the top 1600 time of the year with a 4:15 which shows his talent level. He will be challenged by Devyn Keith for the 5A titles this year, but expect Eric to use his 2x 5A state title experience to challenge all other competitors.

3) Jeffery Kelley SR, Catholic 5A- Jeffery has been working his way into the elite fold for two years now but with his 9:31 2 mile this past season, looks like he is there. Jeff has his work cut out for him this year with the amount of talent at the top of 5A but he is a proven competitor. Expect him to be a major player this year.

4) Ryan Burrell SR, Baton Rouge 5A- Ryan Burrell might not be a household name just yet, but it should be. He ran 4:23 and 9:48 this past year and had two 1600 4th place finishes at LHSAA state championships. If he continues to improve as he did this spring, he could make some major noise in the fall.

5) Conner Killian SR, Rummel 5A- Conner finished the year with some great times including 15:22, 9:45, and 4:28. He has steadily improved each year and this year should be no different.
