FAYETTEVILLE, Arkansas – Ryan Holroyd led the McNeese Cowboys at the 26^th Annual Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival here Saturday morning as the graduate student ran a 24:51.2 in the 10-kilometer race as the Cowboys finished ninth as a team in the 20-team field.
 
The Cowgirls finished 13^th out 18 teams and were led by senior Corissa Storms to completed the 5k race with a time of 17:59.7.
 
Host team Arkansas won the men's title with 51 points followed by Lamar with 96 and North Texas at 106 to round out the top three while on the women's side, Arkansas took the gold with 17 points followed by Lamar with 78 and Kansas State with 116.
 
Following Holroyd's 30^th place finish, freshman Nathan Jones finished 56^th with a time of 25:19.8. Enock Bor ran a 25:26.6 to place 61^st followed by Oliver James with a 25:52.3 and Nicholas Kiprono with a 26:07.6. Enrique Soto turned in a time of 26:15.3, William Hamilton at 26:21.3 and Brock Moreaux with a 26:27.5.
 
Arkansas' Stanley Kebenei won the individual gold wit ha time of 23:53.1.
 
Gemma Bridge was the second Cowgirl to cross the finish line with a time of 18:06.4. She was followed by Alison Smegal at 18:20.6, Amity Delaney at 18:21.5, Rhian Dawes with an 18:57.7, Kaitlyn Jeter at 19:00.0, Angelina Covington at 19:22.1, Sarah Booth at 19:23.3, Danielle Jones at 19:59.9, and Emily Mouton at 20:52.7.
 
Arkansas took the first two places in the individual rankings with Dominique Scott taking first with a 16;01.0 followed by Grace Heymsfield with a time of 16:12.
