Craig Rock headlines local results so far at the AAU Junior Olympic Track & Field Games, which is held July 26 to August 2 at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.
The 2014 graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas posted the fastest 400-meter hurdles time (53.41) in the preliminary round for the Men's 17-18 Division. Rock will race for the title in the finals Wednesday at 1:45 p.m.
Two more Louisiana athletes posted top qualifying times in the first round of the 100 meters
