12 years after that fateful night in Baton Rouge … The Meet Under The Lights is back with the opportunity for high school, collegiate, and post collegiate athletes to toe the line one more time.

Whether you are in shape, out of shape, serious, laid-back, or just have a free evening, come on out to have some fun at the races. The main event will be the men's mile but we have something that caters to everyone!

Events for the fast (Invitational Mile)  / the serious, the fun seekers , etc (open events).  Come on out- no matter your age or ability !

Location: St. Martin's Episcopal.  225 Green Acres Road - Metairie, Louisiana 

Cost: $15 (Includes entry to every event & T-Shirt if registered by Thursday the 15th @ Midnight):

Schedule: Gates open @ 6PM

Rolling events starting at 6:30 PM in the following order:

  • Open Mile
  • Speed Walk 400
  • Open 3,000 Meters
  • Invitational Girls Mile
  • Invitational Boys Mile
  • 3 Legged 400
  • 4x400 Meter Relay (Costume Encouraged)

**Meet conclusion - everyone must be off the premises by 9PM

Men's

Jarrett Leblanc sets his sights on being the 4th Louisiana native to break 4 minutes in the mile.  With a team of rabbits bringing him through the early stages of the race, and a 3:43 1500 two weeks ago (4 flat equivalent) - History could be set this Sunday.  Come cheer him on!!  Ian Carr one of New Orleans' top road racers,  Enrique Soto (the bouncing bean) of McNeese State, Matt Rice, the University of Louisiana Lafayette miler, Bryce Robinson of Hahnville, another one of the state's best, also highlight this year's field. **** New to this year's race:  A North vs South Louisiana Mile Competition.  Custom singlets / and free entries for the highschoolers who make it in the Invitational. mile (email pat@louisianarunning.com if you think you deserve to be in there!). Winning team also gets to house the MUTL trophy in their portion of the state until next year's duel.  North wins = Fit Right Active in Monroe.  South wins = Louisiana Running Company in New Orleans.
