HOUSTON, Texas – The ULM track & field program sent a trio of distance runners to compete in the men's 1500m at the J Fred Duckett Rice Twilight Meet on Saturday, and all three finished in the top-eight out of 36 competitors.
Freshman
Vinnie Van Puyvelde led the pack with a top-five and personal-record time of 3:51.17. It shattered his previous best of 4:00.25 set at the Texas Relays in late March.
Right behind was sophomore
Dusan Makevic who stopped the clock at 3:51.58. Junior
Hillary Kirwa followed in eighth-place with a season-best time of 3:53.50.
The rest of the ULM squad competed at the
Leon Johnson NSU Invitational.
