How Many Years have you been running?
i have been running for almost 4 years now i started in the 9th grade.

What got you started on running? i think it all goes back to jake for pushing me to be a runner like him.

What's your typical week of mileage/ training consist of?
offseason gets up to 70-80 a week and during the season it drops to bout 60-65.

Thoughts on your Coach
well coach malone at school is been there since i started and hes always encouraged me to push harder and be the best..i think ive gotten most of my knowledge from jake though and ALOT of the credit goes to him because i know if it wasnt for him in 9th grade id have turned out being an average runner getting ready for his last xc meet tuesday.

Favorite/ most memorable race you have run this year/and in your career?
well my most memorable race ive run in so far this year would be the walker high one because of the sub15 3mile but career would have to be indoor qualifier because of the stacked field in that race.

Are you looking forward/ getting excited about the state meet? im sure everyone knows im ready for another shot since outdoor track. Who do you consider your biggest rival in state both individually and as a team?
in my class is certainly pierce and chautin but you also have to throw in kasey and hank for the big meets. team wise its beau chene.

What's your motivation to keep pushing in races when you're out front alone and know you have it won?
i always think to myself how hard i can punish myself and push my self to the limits and still punish myself more

What is/ were your goals for this season/ and do you feel you have met them/will meet them?
well one is in the bag being sub15 but im no where near satisfied. i want state title and go to nationals thats what im really focused on.

Any superstitions? race day rituals?
i always eat at my favorite restaurant the night before and wear my lucky boxers to school and the meet.

What do you do when you are not running/hobbies etc?
when im not running i like to fish and just hang out with my friends as much as possible.

Are you going to continue running in college? Which colleges are you considering?
without a doubt im going to run in college. ive gotten things from lsu, ull, duke, baylor, and other schools but i wont decide for awhile on which one.

Who is someone you look to as a role model (running and non)?
running would be jake simmons and non would be my step dad without a doubt.

If you could tell a young and upcoming runner one thing that helped you reach where you are right now what would it be?
dont listen to people who tell you to give up and go home.

How's it feel to have the fastest time in Louisiana this year? When you show up to a meet do you feel others are intimidated and how do you keep yourself humble with the amount of success you have enjoyed?
i try to no worry to much about rankings and just let things happen. i know some people might be intimidated by me but i try not to get a big head and stay humble because they could be in my shoes and i could be them wishing.
