Carruthers Claims Individual Crown With School Record Time At Cowboy Stampede

 

It is the first individual meet crown of the season for the Colonels, as Carruthers broke the two-year-old mark set by Jessica McCleod back in 2011. The Canada native now owns the school record in the 5K and 6K disciplines.

The Colonel women finished fifth overall as a team with an average time of 21:21.57, as Carruthers and Sarah Pressley each finished in the top ten, while the men finished 11th with an average time of 25:27.92. Pressley finished seventh overall with a personal best time of 19:06.99.

Sebie O'Neil was the low stick for the Colonel men, finishing 44th overall in 22:18.98, followed by Jake Lee's time of 22:56.36, Kane Daigle's time of 25:56.78 and Reece Vitale's and Jonathan Comeaux's 27:08.15 and 28:59.30 times, respectively.

Ashley Johnson finished 41st overall with her time of 21:37.90, while Victoria Williams clocked in with a mark of 22:35.29. Rounding out the Nicholls women was Terrian Gauffand her time of 25:36.09, Precious Semien's time of 28:11.62 and Beauca Lewis' time of 30:12.09.
