Colonels Complete Rice Invitational

HOUSTON, Texas – The Nicholls State University men's and women's cross country team returned to action on Friday night, completing competition at the Rice Invitational in Houston.

Tessni Carruthers was the highest Nicholls finisher on the night, placing ninth overall with a time of 15 minutes, 19 seconds, while Sebie O'Neil finished with a time of 18:37 to lead the men's team. The Colonels women's cross country team finished 11th overall with 311 total points.

On the women's side, Sarah Pressley was the next fastest runner, clocking in with a time of 16:38, followed by Emily Charlsworth's 18:05, Ashley Johnson's 19:31 and Victoria Williams' 20:52.

Behind O'Neil on the Nicholls men's side was Jake Lee who finished in 20:16 and was followed by Reece Vitale's time of 21:19, Kane Daigle's 22:36 and Jonathan Comeaux's 25:18.

Nicholls will be back in action next weekend at the LSU Invitational.
