Meet Information
Dear Coaches,The STA Judy Baehr Relays will be held on Friday, March 18, 2011 at the St. Scholastica Academy Track and Field Complex in Covington(located next to Covington High School). The field events will begin at 3:30 p.m. and the running events will begin at 5:30 p.m. Please get on-line and set-up you coacho.com account and enter your roster. Registration opens on Wednesday, March 9, 2011. There will be no exceptions in getting your entries in on time. All entries are final, there will be no changes or additions to your entries. The deadline for you to make changes or register for the meet will be on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at 12:00 noon. Athletes are allowed to participate in any four events.
Each school will have to help run the field events off in order to get everyone home at a reasonable time. The STA and SSA athletes will help us with the hurdles, while the STA and SSA parents and coaches will help us with the timing and check-in.Remember Coaches, we are asking that each boys team and each girls team pay a $20.00 entry fee ($40.00 per school if you have boys and girls teams) to help defray the cost of the awards and the on-line registration. Please make checks payable to the St. Thomas Aquinas High School Athletic Department. Awards will be given to the top (2) teams. This meets entries are limited to (2) athletes per field event and (2) athletes per running event and (1) relay team per school in the boys and the girls divisions. MVP awards will be given in the field, track and overall categories in each division. Individual awards will be given to the champions of each event. The Hy-tek program will only score the top (2) runners and the top relay in the team scoring. Team scoring will be 10-8-6-4-2-1.
Printed meet results will be available at the end of the meet.Admission will be $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for children. Concessions will be available at SSA.The following teams will be participating in this years meet: St. Thomas Aquinas, Country Day, First Baptist , St. Scholastica Academy(G), Newman, University High, Walker, Pheonix High, Mandeville, Riverside Academy, Lusher, Sophie B. Wright, Archbishop Hannan and McGehee(G).
