Entry Fee: $50.00 per team. $100.00 if both boys and girls enter.

Entry Deadline: April 5 at Noon--------Monday

Entry Forms: An entry form is enclosed with this letter. Please return this form along with a check made payable to MLK by Friday April 5 at Noon. Any changes should be made by Wednesday April 7, 5 pm. The forms may be faxed to Stephen Dorris (Fax 329-8163). We must have an entry form by April 5. You may change entries or entry marks up till Wednesday April 7 at 5PM. After Wednesday the events will be entered into flights accordingly. If you need to make substitutions the day of the race, see John Duke. You do not have to send any names for your relay entries. We just need entry times. You will write the actual participants on a relay card to hand to the clerk of the course. The JV races are specially designed for 9th and 10th grade runners. Coaches will be on their own honor to only enter those underclassmen for those races. The four event rule will apply for all participants as usual. Participation will be defined as actually participating in an event. Simply being on the entry form will not be considered participation.

Scoring: 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 Eight scoring: First thru eighth place. Freshman and Junior Varsity points will count in the meet score. JV participants should be in the 9th and 10th grades.

Awards: T-Shirts will be awarded to the first through sixth place winners in each event. Team trophies for the Champion, Runner-up, and Third Place will be awarded.

Preliminaries: There will be no preliminaries. All races will be run section versus time.

Entries: Only two athletes may be entered in each open event with the following exceptions. In the 3200m and the Freshman 1600m where entries are unlimited. In the 800m 3 athletes can be entered. Relay participants will be tracked. Please list participants on relay cards and give them to the clerk of the course. The clerk will check them in at race time.

Special Notes:
*A and B teams are permitted in the DMR and SMR. Both may score.
*Starting Heights:
High Jump: Boys - 5 ft. 4 in. Girls - 4 ft. 2 in.
*Spikes may not exceed 1/4 inch.
*All competitors should stay in the stands unless participating or warming up. All warming up should be
done on the back straightaway.
*In all throws and jumps, all first attempts will be measured. All subsequent attempts will only be measured if they are equal to or exceed the meet standard.
