Meet Information
This meet is for District 1-5A schools only.
Date: Thursday, October 25th, 2018
Where: Oakland Plantation Country Club
2220 LA Highway 2
Plain Dealing, LA 71604
Course: The course consists of a single loop, with no repeated segments. There are rolling hills,
mostly well-manicured grass, with dirt on wooded trail segments. This course is very
Spectator-friendly.
Events: We will be hosting a varsity race only for each gender. There will be unlimited entries for
each varsity race.
Cost: The cost of the meet will be $65 per school and will cover the District Awards. Keep in mind
that our District By-Laws state that your team is required to pay the District Meet fee by
the date of the District Meet no matter how many runners participate. However, failure to do so will result in a District fine of $100 due before your team can participate in the Regional or State Meet.
Registration: Registration opens Monday, October 1st. Schools must declare their runners they plan to
run in the varsity race by name through la.milesplit.com. Please click on the link in the calendar
section of milesplit. We will be issuing bib numbers to the declared athletes. Any athlete not
declared will not be allowed to participate in the varsity meet. Entry must be received by noon
on Monday, October 22nd. Entries will only be accepted through la.milesplit.com
Times:
Varsity Girls: 4:00pm
Varsity Boys: 4:40pm
Awards Presentation: 5:15pm
Awards: We will give out awards for the 1st and 2nd place team in the varsity races and will
recognize the top 10 finishers in each race as the All-District Team.
***CHECKS NEED TO BE MADE OUT TO AIRLINE CROSS COUNTRY AND WILL BE ACCEPTED AT THE MEET AT CHECK-IN. ALL TEAMS MUST PAY MEET FEE BEFORE RACING.***
