Meet Information

]Date: Thursday, September 27, 2018

Course: The bridle path which circumscribes Audubon Park, New Orleans. We will be headquartered near Shelter #10, located at the "back" of the park just off Magazine St. and next to the Golf Course Club House.

Schedule of events:

        2:00 PM    Check in begins

        The following races do NOT require registration:

        3:00 PM    Non-scoring Open Race (2 OR 3 miles, girls AND boys, LHSAA-registered athletes ONLY)

        3:45 PM    Elementary Race (1 mile, girls AND boys, 5th grade and below ONLY)

        The following races are scored and require pre-registration:

        4:00 PM    Middle School Girls Race (2 miles, 8th grade and below ONLY, unlimited entries)

        4:30 PM    Middle School Boys Race (2 miles, 8th grade and below ONLY, unlimited entries)

        5:00 PM    Varsity Girls Race (3 miles, 12 entries max)

        5:45 PM    Varsity Boys Race (3 miles, 12 entries max)

        6:15 PM    Awards

Entry fee:  $50.00 per school.  Please make checks payable to Isidore Newman School.  We prefer coaches bring checks to our event on the day of the race.  If coaches must mail checks, please address mailings as follows:

Making entries:  To register for the middle school and/or varsity races, please go to chippedtiming.com.  Click on "Meet Registration."  Under Cross Country Registration, click on "Newman Cross Country Classic."  Entries may be edited until the deadline, but only using the original computer or device from which the entries were first made.  

    Registration closes on Monday, September 24th at 12 midnight.

Awards:  

  • 1st and 2nd place team trophies in each scored race
  • Plaque for the top individual finisher in each scored race
  • T-shirts presented to the top 10 finishers in each scored race
  • Medals handed out in the finish chute to top 10 girl and top 10 boy Elementary finishers
  • Team Sportsmanship Award also presented at conclusion of meet
