I think the forum could use more activity.

Please post about anything you'd like on this thread. By anything, I mean anything. It could be about your running today, but non-running-related things are encouraged.

On December 31st, 1996 I received 57 yellow jackets stings on my person.

I was stung by not zero, not two, not three, not fifty-seven, but one yellow jacket about three days ago. The vastus medialis on my right leg absorbed the brunt of the venom, and it has almost completely recovered since.

I'm glad you survived this encounter.

Do you think life (intelligent or not) exists beyond our planet?

I've heard of this idea that since the universe is so big that there must be something else like Earth somewhere. It makes sense to me, enough cents to make dollars. So to answer the question, yes.

Personally, I believe that we were placed here by a far superior race and they are filiming us for their reality television show. Hopefully, for our sakes, the show doesn't get cancelled.

I'd like to know everyone's opinion on low-fat pop tarts. I think they're pretty gross, so I eat the normal kind, the good kind.

I don't understand the point of low-fat pop tarts anyway. They are a fairly low-fat food to begin with. I too only eat the normal kind. I prefer hot fudge sundae, chocolate vanilla creme, cookies and cream, chocolate fudge, and cookie dough. Basically, any of the non-fruit flavored pop tarts. What do you guys prefer?

I don't see anything wrong with Randy being listed ahead of me. His 5k and 10k PR's are superior to mine.

Another good question is who started that thread? Whoever it is seems to have intimate knowledge of the Louisiana teams.

Poor Pat. He does so much, but it's just never enough for some people.

Pat doesn't own MileSplit. He's "in charge" of Louisiana and I guess now Oregon. That's 1/25 of the states.

Besides, anonymous posters contribute a lot to the site. "You know it's a love/hate thing, but right now, I love them." I always do.

He does know a lot, and I can tell he's very intelligent. Still, whoever he is, I sometimes have a hard time figuring out whether he's joking, being serious, or whatever else he's trying to do. But then again if he used ALL CAPS or another way of trying express one's emotions on a message board that would confuse me even more.

I've spent the summer working hard, not in a running running sense though, more so reviewing lctrackstar's blogs, posts, and blog comments to try to get in a solid base for the long season of brooks hatred. I'm confident that my hard work will pay off and that I can increase the level of brooks hatred (which is the goal of every lsu runner) this fall.

Anybody want to predict how many posts will be on this topic in a month? I say over 200 at least. Maybe close to 400.
