The meet featured several past Olympians and some of the best runners in the nation. UL’s Chris Roy again won the pole vault. He won the meet with a height of 5.25m which came up just short of the school record.

LAFAYETTE- Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns track and field team hosted and competed in the Louisiana Classics Saturday. Louisiana was led by pole vaulter Chris Roy who won the pole vault and provisionally qualified for the NCAA National Meet. Roy attempted to break the school record but came up just short. Louisiana had 13 top three finishes in the meet.
