PLANO, Texas For the second time in three weeks, Southeastern¹s cross country runner Asbel Ngetich was honored by the Southland Conference when he was named the league¹s Male Runner of the Week. Ngetich, a senior from Kapsabet, Kenya, helped Southeastern to a third-place finish at the LSU Invitational on Saturday, finishing second overall among 86 runners with a time of 25:55.39 on the 8,000-meter course. It was his second consecutive top-three finish this season as he finished third overall at the Southern Miss Invitational on Sept. 10. Southeastern¹s Mandy Wallace was named to the SLC¹s Honor Roll after recording her third consecutive top-10 finish this season with a seventh-place finish at the LSU Invitational. The women's weekly award was shared by Katherine King of Texas-San Antonio and Ruth Waller of McNeese State.
