Ajee Wilson Sets American Best At 600m In Berlin

Caster Semenya, who won gold at the World Championships in the 800m in London earlier this month for South Africa, set a new world record in the 600m on Sunday in Berlin.

Ajee Wilson, a New Jersey native and Neptune High graduate, placed second -- also besting the former world best -- and set a new American best in 1:22.39.

Both women surpassed Ana Fidelia Quirot's former world best of 1:22.63, which was set in 1997.
