Tara Davis Long Jumps No. 2 All-Time At CIF Southern Section


Agoura (Ca.) High School senior Tara Davis (CA) crushed a new US No. 1 all conditions mark of 22 feet 3.75 inches on Saturday in the long jump. The mark eclipses her previous best by over six inches.

The mark is also an all conditions US No. 2 effort all-time.

Davis is now only behind national record holder Kate Hall from Naples, Maine. Hall set the national record jump of 22 feet five inches at New Balance Nationals Outdoor in 2015. 

Davis also competed in the 100m hurdles, where she ran a 13.59 into a -2.7 head wind. For more from the CIF Southern Section Championships, click the links below.
