2017: Texas Distance Festival Preview

SOUTHLAKE, TX -- There's little doubt this year's Texas Distance Festival at Southlake Carroll High will have the makings of a special meet. While much of the focus has been placed at the foot of the elite 5K fields lining up on Saturday night, the event also will have extremely competitive fields in the 800m, 1600m and the 3200m. In the 1600m, for instance, Southlake Carroll freshman Chris Tracht will attempt to break a world record in the T44 classification in the 1500m -- which will require a conversion from his 1600m time.
