A total of 5 state meet records were broken on Monday between the 1A/2A events at the 2017 MPSSAA State Indoor Championships. Let's take a look at each one.

Leading the way was Patuxent senior Hayley Jackson netting not only two 2A state meet records with her victories in the 1600 and 800 meter races, but running the fastest 1600 meter time ever by a Maryland high school girls runner indoors or outdoors in any meet with her nation's best and facility record time of 4:45.56.

She doubled back from that shocking effort to win the 800 title as well in a 2A state meet record time of 2:15.45 to cap off a memorable final high school indoor state meet for the senior decorated with a double digit amount of state titles.
