January signaled the beginning of the indoor season for Utah high school track and field.
And at the Brigham Young University High School Indoor Invitational on Jan. 6-7, hundreds of athletes gave spectators their first glimpse of potential state-championship and national caliber performances down the road.
But January is only a hint for the future. With big-time meets on the way and the Utah High School Track Coaches Association (UHSTCA) Invitational at the end of the month, expect to see even more from the state's best.
