Girls Indv Composite Ranking '15

Rank Athlete/Team Last Result Comments
1
Jennings finishes as queen of xc for 2015 in LA after early season struggles.
2
Murphy finished her XC season in excellent fashion and reclaimed her 5A title.
3
Crosby roared back from injury and came away with a runner up title in 5A.
4
Chauvin has repeatedly showed her prowess and stepped up in the absence of Annie Hill.
5
Landers found her way back into the top 10 after taking down Stamey in 2A.
6
Stamey finishes a little behind where she assuredly wanted to, but she should not be down on herself, she ran phenomenal this year.
7
What to do with a race as Sara had? A bad cramp mid-race hurt her chances at repeat but she impressively never dropped out and pushed through. Her previous performances this year cannot be discounted. We have also seen with runners this year having fluke off races that one day should not define a whole season.
8
Breaux finished tough and won another 1A title for AC.
9
Breaux, of no relation to #8 (that I know of) handled business and found herself another 4A title.
10
Annie Hill has suffered this year with health issues, but there was no doubt when she was healthy she was a relentless force. The virtue of her other races earned her a top 10 spot.

With the girls talent spread out through so many races and several top runners having major issues at the state meet, this was a hard ranking to project. All of the girls entering the top 10 this week were at one point this season in the top 10 as well. Congrats to all state champs and see you next year!
