Day 2: Three Other Storylines

The poor weather and conditions for the meet this weekend will make any outstanding performances hard to come by.  One things is for sure, the conditions will make it very easy for mistakes to be made which will open up competition for underdogs to make a move.  Check out the top story lines for tomorrow:

3) Girls 3A Team: Sacred Heart of NOLA and Lusher have been going at it all season and now we will see who gets to call themselves state champs.  This will certainly be a tight race and will come down to the finish on the track.  One positions swap in the last 300 may be all it takes to turn the tide.

2) Boys 4A Team: Assumption and St. Michael's look indecipherable on paper, with St. Michaels projecting to best Assumption 55-57.  Both teams should occupy a majority of the top 10 finishers in 4A.  Will this become a conservative tactical race?

1) Boys and Girls 5A: Let's be honest.  Who knows what is going on with the boys 5A race this year?  No team has looked unbeatable.  With the muddy conditions, the girls race can't be projected either.  The individual races are going to be tough to determine as well.  Anything that happens in 5A tomorrow will be a surprise.
