Who do you look up to as an inspiration to your running?

I would have to say Jarrett LeBlanc because of his dramatic improvements since high school and his collegiate and post-collegiate success. I watched him go sub-4 minutes in the mile, and it has really motivated me in my training so far.

Up to this point in your running career, what has been your most memorable moment?

The most memorable moment for me would have to be my team's win at the state cross country meet last year.

You are projected to do very well this upcoming year. What do you do in order to stay grounded and focused on achieving your goals?

If I ever feel like I'm losing focus, I just remind myself of how much I've improved since I started running and how far I still have to go until I'm where I want to be.

If you only had one song to listen to before your race, which would it be?

"Bulls on Parade" by Rage Against the Machine.

What is your favorite workout?

My favorite workout is an early morning long run in the cane field.

Are you interested in running after high school and if so, what are you looking for a in school in order to determine if it is the right fit for you?

I'm very interested in running at a college with a good academic program as well as a cross country and track team whose athletes show improvement while attending.

What meets are you looking forward to the most this year?

I always look forward to the meets at Highland Park because they bring in the competition that usually pushes me to fast times.

What is your pre-meet or pre-race routine that you like to follow?

I like to watch a lot of fast college and professional races to get motivated to run. I always go through the race in my head on the way to each meet.

How many days a week do you run?

Six or seven.

And lastly, what food do you crave most after a hard workout or a race?

Chinese buffet.
