Who do you look up to as an inspiration to your running?

I have 2 idols in running. One is Ice Cube and the other is my Grandpa. I look up to Ice Cube because all the sticky situations and the surroundings he over came to become a successful movie star and my grandpa is an inspiration to me as well because his favorite quote is "If the word excuses didn't exist, you wouldn't have one" and despite him being 77 , he still wakes up everyday and runs 4 miles.

Up to this point in your running career, what has been your most memorable moment?

My most memorable moment In running is my Junior year metro championship for XC. Just overall, the competition and battle for 1st place, it really was a great experience and it was also the time I also set my current PR. Around the 2 mile mark I remember my coach cheering me on, yelling "C'mon Austin you're having the race of your life right now!"

You are projected to do very well this upcoming year. What do you do in order to stay grounded and focused on achieving your goals?
