MOBILE, Ala. - New Orleans Privateers cross country completed their second meet of the season at the Azalea City Classic in Mobile, Ala. on Friday evening.
Competing against runners from Louisiana-Lafayette, Louisiana-Monroe, Troy and hosts South Alabama the men's team finished 5th with 158 points. The women's team finished in sixth with 174 points, competing against runners from Alabama Birmingham, Louisiana-Lafayette, Louisiana-Monroe, Troy, and hosts South Alabama.
A pair of Privateers sophomores led the men's team with
Blake Robertson finishing in 23
rd place, completing his 8K in 27:36.80.
Edmund Pine finished just behind him with a time of 28:17.80, good for 28th place.
On the women's side junior runner
Letizia Titon continued to lead the Privateers, finishing her 6K run with a time of 22:23.54, in 12
th place. Â Building on her success at the UNO Relays, Titon has had team-best finishes in both cross country events this season for the women's cross country team.
Privateers cross country returns to action next on September 20 at the LSU Invitational in Baton Rouge, La.
